Are you an experienced Health & Safety, Building Safety or Compliance professional looking to take ownership across a growing property portfolio?
We're recruiting for a highly respected property organisation that owns and manages a portfolio of premium residential developments. This is a key role responsible for driving Health & Safety, statutory compliance and building safety standards across the business.
We're particularly keen to hear from candidates from residential property, BTR, PBSA, housing, facilities management, estates, healthcare estates or other complex multi-site environments.
The Role
Working closely with senior leadership, operational teams and contractors, you'll act as the business's Health, Safety & Compliance expert, combining strategic oversight with a practical, hands-on approach.
You'll be responsible for:
- Leading H&S and statutory compliance across the property portfolio.
- Supporting compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022 and higher-risk building requirements.
- Managing building safety documentation, including the Golden Thread.
- Overseeing compliance across fire, asbestos, legionella, gas and electrical safety.
- Conducting audits, inspections and risk assessments.
- Identifying compliance risks and driving remedial actions through to completion.
- Managing contractor compliance, RAMS and CDM requirements.
- Supporting incident investigations, reporting and continuous improvement.
- Advising senior leaders and operational teams on H&S best practice.
- Promoting a positive, proactive safety culture across the business.
About You
You may currently be working as a Health & Safety Manager, Compliance Manager, Building Safety Manager, SHEQ Manager, Estates Compliance Manager or Statutory Compliance Manager.
You'll ideally bring:
- Strong H&S, statutory compliance or building safety experience.
- Knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022 and higher-risk buildings.
- Experience across fire, asbestos, legionella, gas and electrical compliance.
- Knowledge of CDM and contractor management.
- Experience conducting audits, inspections and compliance reviews.
- NEBOSH or equivalent qualification.
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach and the ability to take ownership.
- Full UK driving licence.
