Health Safety & Environmental Advisor – Waste & Metal Recycling

EXPERIENCED HEALTH & SAFETY ADVISOR, WITH STRONG HEALTH AND SAFETY SKILLS REQUIRED FOR MULTI SITE OPERATION IN THE WASTE MANAGEMENT & RECYCLING SECTOR

TITLE: Health Safety & Environmental Advisor 

SALARY: £42,000 - £45,000 plus pension 
    
LOCATION: North West – you may be located in Chester, Wrexham, Mold, Ruthin and surrounding areas

YOU MAY HAVE WORKED  IN : Heavy Industry, Manufacturing, Engineering or other industrial environments.

ROLE: Health Safety & Environmental Advisor 

•    Previous experience in an HSEQ, HSE, SHEQ, or similar compliance-focused role.
•    Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality legislation.
•    Experience conducting internal audits and supporting external audits.
•    Excellent organisation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
•    Ability to influence and engage employees at all levels of the organisation.
•    Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment.
•    Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites

EXPERIENCE: Health Safety & Environmental Advisor 

•    Experience working within heavy industry, manufacturing, or other industrial environments.
•    Previous experience working with or alongside EA or Natural Resources Wales.
•    Knowledge of environmental permitting regulations.
•    IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification.
•    WAMITAB qualification or willingness to obtain one.
•    Experience maintaining ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems.
