Heat Network Engineer in London, Greater London

We're recruiting a Heat Network Engineer for a specialist engineering business operating and maintaining large-scale district and communal heating networks across London.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on the maintenance, performance and optimisation of heat networks, working across energy centres, communal heating systems and Heat Interface Units.

• Service and maintain district and communal heating networks

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance

• Diagnose faults across heat network systems

• Service and fault-find Heat Interface Units (HIUs)

• Work across energy centres and associated plant

• Monitor network temperatures, pressures and performance

• Investigate poor heating and hot-water performance

• Carry out system optimisation and efficiency improvements

• Work with pumps, valves, heat exchangers, controls and metering

• Support commissioning and network performance testing

• Complete technical reports and maintenance documentation

• Liaise with residents, clients and site management teams

• Heating, mechanical or building-services engineering background

• Experience with district heating, communal heating or heat networks advantageous

• Strong knowledge of LTHW heating systems

• Experience with HIUs highly desirable

• Good fault-finding and diagnostic ability

• Knowledge of pumps, valves, plate heat exchangers and controls

• Commercial heating experience considered

• Plumbing / heating qualification advantageous

• Strong customer-facing skills

• Full UK driving licence

• £45,000-£55,000 basic
