HEAVY PLANT / CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT MECHANIC (WORKSHOP & MOBILE FIELD SERVICE)
$30 - $40 per hour (Workshop) / $32 - $42 per hour (Mobile)
OT: $45 - $60 per hour

Alecto Recruitment is working with our client who are a well-established heavy plant and construction equipment service provider operating across Texas, supporting major infrastructure, quarry, and construction projects. They are a specialist engineering organisation with a strong reputation for delivering reliable maintenance and breakdown support across high-demand industrial environments.

Workshop Technician - $30 - $40 per hour
Mobile Field Service Technician - $32 - $42 per hour
Overtime - $45 - $60 per hour
Field allowance - +$2 - $5 per hour (where applicable)
Paid travel time (mobile roles)

HOLIDAY:

• Standard US PTO allowance (10-15 days depending on tenure)
• Public holidays as per contract agreement

• Service, repair, and maintain heavy plant and construction equipment
• Diagnose hydraulic, electrical, and diesel system faults
• Carry out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
• Work on excavators, loaders, dozers, dump trucks, and related machinery
• Attend site-based breakdowns across Texas (mobile roles)
• Complete accurate service and repair documentation
• Ensure safe return-to-service of all equipment

• Experience as a heavy plant / construction equipment mechanic
• Strong hydraulic, electrical, and diesel diagnostic ability
• Experience working on CAT, Komatsu, JCB, Volvo CE equipment
• Ability to work independently in workshop or field environments
• Confident fault-finding under pressure
• Full driving eligibility for mobile service roles
