Helpline Advisor (Fixed-Term Contract)

Location: Crewe, Cheshire
Salary: £13.45 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Rota hours between 8am to 8pm - Monday to Sunday (5 days) 
Contract: Fixed-Term 3 months 

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking a compassionate and customer-focused Helpline Advisor to join their Contact Centre team on a 3-month fixed-term contract.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will provide advice, guidance, and assistance to customers and stakeholders, ensuring a positive experience at every interaction.

The Role

As a Helpline Advisor, you will be responsible for managing a variety of inbound enquiries, providing professional support, and ensuring customers receive a prompt, empathetic, and efficient service.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues across multiple departments to resolve queries, support customers with their needs, and contribute to maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional and empathetic support to customers, stakeholders, and partner organisations.
  • Manage a varied workload while achieving internal service standards and performance targets.
  • Liaise with colleagues across different departments to resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Use strong problem-solving skills to identify solutions and make informed decisions.
  • Complete all required training and actively participate in ongoing development opportunities.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements at all times.
  • Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service across all interactions.
About You

We are looking for someone who is friendly, proactive, and committed to delivering outstanding customer service.

You will ideally possess:

  • Strong listening skills and a caring, customer-focused approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to remain calm and confident when handling a range of enquiries.
  • Good IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Previous customer service experience, ideally within a contact centre or service-driven environment, although this is not essential.
