Main Job Objective
We are seeking experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our team on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern. This role involves the delivery and collection of air freight to and from airports and customer locations across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers who enjoy working independently and delivering a high standard of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and collect air freight from UK-wide airports and customer sites.
- Safely operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles in accordance with all legal requirements.
- Load and unload cargo when required.
- Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries and collections.
- Comply with tachograph regulations, road traffic laws, and company procedures.
- Carry out daily vehicle walkaround checks and report any defects.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage.
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 2 years' LGV driving experience.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- No more than 6 penalty points (IN and DR endorsements will not be accepted).
- Good geographical knowledge of UK road networks.
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage time effectively.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Full 5-year employment history with no gaps exceeding 28 days.
- Enhanced background checks, including CRB clearance, will be required.
- Previous experience within the air cargo/aviation industry.
- Cargo Operative Aviation Certificate (training can be provided if required).
- Experience operating roller-bed, refrigerated (fridge), and curtain-side trailers.
- Competitive pay: £18.90 - £21.76 per hour
