HGV 2 driver

Contek Recruitment Solutions are working on behalf of their client who are a leading horticultural company specializing in the manufacture of garden houses, summerhouses, log cabins, and modular buildings. With multiple locations in West Yorkshire and nationwide delivery, the company offers an hourly rate of £14.50p/h and overtime opportunities as well as an overnight allowance of £35.

Overtime paid at £18.12 per hour after 40 hours, drivers typically work 50 hours per week, start times from 2am onwards. 

Main responsibilities:
- Delivering flatbed log cabins and garden sheds
- Direct deliveries of shed panels to customers
- Transporting timber and materials between company sites
- Safe and responsible operation of HGV vehicles
- Securing loads with straps and ratchets

Skills, experience, and education:
- Communication: Professional and reliable customer interaction
- Knowledge/expertise: Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence, Driver CPC and digital tachograph card
- Innovation: Experience operating flatbed trucks and making nationwide deliveries
- Business influence: Adherence to safety and compliance standards

Responsibilities:
- Meeting delivery schedules and reporting delays
- Assisting with loading and unloading
