💰 Salary: £29,000 – £31,000 plus bonus

⏰ Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm | 1 in 4 Saturdays, 8:00am – 12:00pm

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Service Planner & Administrator to join a busy and well-established commercial vehicle service operation in the Reading area.

This is a key role within the service department, responsible for coordinating workshop bookings, supporting customers throughout the repair process, and ensuring accurate administration and invoicing.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

• Booking vehicles in for servicing, routine maintenance, MOTs, and additional repairs
• Managing workshop capacity and scheduling appointments
• Keeping customers updated on vehicle progress and any delays
• Preparing and processing job cards
• Supporting MOT administration and invoicing
• Scanning and filing service documentation
• Ordering parts and subcontract work where required
• Raising invoices and maintaining accurate vehicle history records
• Carrying out customer follow-up calls after workshop visits
• Promoting additional workshop services where appropriate

This is a varied and fast-paced role where no two days are the same. The successful candidate will need to be organised, proactive, and confident communicating with both customers and colleagues.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in an automotive service, planning, administration, or service advisor role
• HGV or light commercial vehicle industry experience is highly desirable
• Strong organisational and administration skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Confident verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work to deadlines
• Good problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working with costing and invoicing information
• Able to work independently and as part of a team

Salary & Bonus

• £29,000 – £31,000 depending on experience
• Up to £4,000 annual bonus linked to departmental and manufacturer KPIs
