HGV Class 1 Driver in Skelmersdale, Lancashire

HGV CLASS 1 DRIVERS NEEDED OUT OF SKELMERSDALE.

• £16.00 or £17.93 inc hol pay M-F Days  
• £17.00 or £19.05 inc hol pay M-F Night  
• £17.60 or £19.72 inc hol pay Sat Days 
• £18.35 or £20.56 inc hol pay Sat PM & Sun AM 
• £19.00 or £21.29 inc hol pay Sun 
• £19.75 or £22.13 inc hol pay Bank Hols 

Our general haulage client works with many manufacturers and supermarkets to supply clients with full pallet loads of goods.  We need HGV Class 1 Drivers that have a min 6 months experience to join them for Day & Night general haulage curtainsider deliveries. 

There is a variety of work for those who enjoy a mixture but equally there are trunking jobs that have the same route each day.  

Night work is Trunking.  Usually taking a trailer to Heysham Docks or to either drop and swap or live load at a DC. A shift is approx. 10 hours.  

Our drivers can expect Hourly PAYE rates and have the option to accrue holiday pay within their hourly rate or build a holiday pot to be paid when they are on holiday. 

Here is what the clients’ criteria is to work here:- 

• Hold a valid C&E Driving licence (with a min of 6 months in C&E work) 

• No more than 6 minor points on Driving licence 

• DCPC Valid card for Driver Certificate of professional competence card 

• Good working knowledge of EU Driver hours and WTR rules 

• Enjoy working with people at the stores 

• Health & Safety awareness
