About the Role 

We are currently seeking a reliable and professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our transport team based in Rushden, NN10. This role involves rigid and tail-lift, up to 7 drops per day across a variety of locations delivering AdBlue and agricultural products and general, palletised freight.  

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver who is comfortable with multi-drop work and who takes pride in delivering excellent service. Our client offers flexibility across shift patterns involving day work and/or nights out for drivers who are seeking tramping. Nights out are paid at £26.20 per night out. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Operating a Class 1 vehicle in a safe and compliant manner 

• Most deliveries will be offloaded by depot staff 

• Ensuring all deliveries are completed accurately and on time 

• Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting defects 

• Maintaining delivery paperwork and PODs 

• Adhering to driver hours, WTD and road transport legislation 

• Providing a professional and customer-focused service at all delivery points 

Driver Requirements 

• Minimum 2 years HGV Class 1 driving experience within the UK 

• Aged 25 years or over (insurance requirement) 

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category CE) licence 

• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card 

• No more than 3 penalty points 

• No major endorsements (DD, DR, IN etc.) 

• Comfortable with manual handling duties as and where required 

• Strong reliability and time management skills 

Assessment Process 

All applicants will be required to complete: 

• Driving assessment 

• Interview with the Transport Manager 

• Licence and compliance checks
