HGV Class 1 Driver / LGV C+E Driver – Scropton, Derbyshire

Are you an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver looking for consistent Monday to Friday work, competitive pay and an early finish? We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 (C+E) Driver to join a busy operation based in Scropton, Derbyshire.

This is a temporary ongoing position, offering regular weekday work with a 04:00 start time.

The Role

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering products to customers, with 2 deliveries per shift. The role involves reversing onto loading bays and requires only minimal handball, making this an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for straightforward delivery work.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving a Class 1 HGV / LGV C+E vehicle
  • Completing approximately 2 drops per shift
  • Reversing safely onto delivery bays
  • Carrying out vehicle checks and completing required paperwork
  • Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and professionally
  • Minimal handball involved
  • Following all relevant driving, road safety and company procedures

Pay & Hours

  • £18.00 – £20.17 per hour
  • Monday to Friday
  • 04:00 start
  • Temporary ongoing position
  • Regular weekday work

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this HGV Class 1 Driver position, you will need:

  • A valid Class 1 / C+E licence
  • A minimum of 6 months' relevant HGV Class 1 driving experience
  • A valid CPC qualification
  • A valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • Good knowledge of UK roads and road safety
  • Excellent timekeeping and reliability
  • A professional attitude and good customer service skills
  • The ability to safely reverse onto loading bays
