We are looking for an experienced and adaptable Multi-Skilled HGV Driver to join their growing team.

The Role
This isn't your typical HGV class 1 driving role.
You'll provide driving cover across multiple transport operations, operating a range of specialist vehicles including walking floors, tippers, pump tankers and powder tankers. You'll support customers across the UK, transporting specialist waste-derived materials safely, professionally and compliantly.
This is a tramping role, typically involving four nights away from home each week (occasionally five), making it ideal for drivers who enjoy life on the road and the variety that comes with nationwide work.
No two days are the same, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied workload, thrives on responsibility and takes pride in delivering a professional service.
Working Pattern
- Guaranteed 50 hours per wee
- Early starts, typically between 5:00am and 6:00am
- Four nights away per week.
- Nationwide travel supporting operations across Yorkshire, Chesterfield and South Wales
What You'll Be Doing
Operating a range of specialist HGV vehicles including walking floor trailers, tippers, pump tankers, powder tankers, eight-wheelers and articulated vehicles.
Transporting organic waste, sludge, food waste, lime and other bulk materials safely and compliantly.
Providing driving cover across multiple company sites and transport operations.
Completing daily vehicle inspections and ensuring vehicles remain clean, safe and roadworthy.
Accurately completing transport documentation and complying with all transport legislation.
Working closely with transport planners and operational teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
Representing the business professionally while working on customer sites across the UK.
Maintaining exceptional safety standards and following company procedures at all times.
About You
You'll be an experienced HGV Driver who enjoys variety and understands the realities of working within the waste, recycling or environmental services sector.
This role would suit someone who takes ownership of their work, enjoys working independently and is equally happy supporting the wider team whenever needed.
Experience operating specialist vehicles within the waste or bulk haulage sectors would be highly advantageous.
We're Looking For Someone Who Has Experience operating one or more of the following:
- Walking Floor trailersTippers
- Pump or sludge tanker
- Powder tankers
- Bulk haulage vehicles
A flexible mindset and the ability to adapt to changing priorities, different vehicles and varying customer requirements.
The willingness to spend four nights away from home each week (occasionally five) and travel nationwide as required.

Class 1 License (Essential)
