Top Tier Recruitment is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for a well-established logistics company based in Southampton.

The Role

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for:

• Collecting containers from Southampton Port
• Delivering containers safely to customer sites across the UK
• Returning to the depot to collect and load the following day's container
• Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Working closely with transport planners to ensure deliveries run smoothly
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery and collection points
• Completing all paperwork accurately and complying with Drivers' Hours Regulations
• Representing the company professionally at all times

Typical shifts are between 10 and 14 hours, starting at 06:00, Monday to Friday.

What We're Looking For

To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you'll need:

• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• At least 12 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience
• Maximum of 3 penalty points
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• A professional, reliable and safety-focused approach

Desirable Experience

• Previous container driving experience
• Southampton Port Card (advantageous but not essential)
