Monday to Friday | Night shifts starting from approximately 6:30pm

Role Overview

A local business in Welshpool is looking to recruit an experienced HGV Class 1 Night Driver to join its transport team. The role involves depot-to-depot trunking work using curtain-sided trailers, offering consistent Monday to Friday night shifts with no manual handling or nights away from home. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable driver seeking ongoing work with a well-established transport operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete depot-to-depot deliveries and collections.
• Operate a Class 1 (C+E) vehicle safely and efficiently during night shifts.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks before and after each shift.
• Ensure loads are secured and transported safely.
• Complete all relevant driving and transport documentation accurately.
• Comply with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and road transport regulations.
• Maintain high standards of safety and professionalism at all times.

Skills & Experience

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Valid Digital Tachograph card.
• Previous HGV Class 1 driving experience is preferred.
• Experience working with curtain-sided trailers is advantageous.
• Good understanding of Driver Hours and Tachograph regulations.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to safe driving practices.
