Class 1 Night Trunker Driver – Cheltenham - Temp to perm

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 Night Trunker Driver to join our client's busy operation based in Cheltenham. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and professional driver looking for regular, ongoing work with the potential to secure a permanent position.

The Role

Working Sunday to Thursday nights, 1 trunk per shift. The role involves very little manual handling, making it ideal for drivers who prefer a straightforward driving and 1 drop position.

Shift Details

• Location: Cheltenham
• Start Time: 5:00 PM
• Shift Length: Approximately 8 hours
• Working Pattern: Sunday to Thursday nights
• Pay Rate: £19.00 per hour PAYE
• Immediate start available
• Temp to perm

Duties Include

• Completing trunk runs as required
• Dropping off returned trailers
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Following all site health and safety procedures
• Maintaining a professional and courteous approach at all times

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
• Minimum 6 months' Class 1 driving experience
• Valid Driver CPC qualification
• Digital Tachograph card
• Good understanding of drivers' hours and working time regulations
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious with a professional attitude
