HGV Class 1 Shunter/Driver Nights

2 YEARS EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE

We are currently seeking 1 x experienced Class 1 Shunter/Driver for our client in Knottingley, West Yorkshire. The position is Sunday to Thursday 17:00 - 05:00 and will be starting ASAP. The role will mainly be driving but there will also be a requirement to jump onto Shunting duties as and when required. There is a possibility this role may evolve into a 4 on 4 off shunting position for the right candidate.

PAYE rates for the role of HGV Class 1 driver are as follows:

Days: £17.45 Per Hour (04:00 - 17:59)
Nights £18.45 Per Hour (18:00 - 03:59)
6th Shift Days £26.18 Per Hour
6th Shift Nights £27.68 Per Hour

Your Time at Work
As an HGV Class 1 Shunter/Driver, you will be responsible for all aspects of safe and efficient movement and positioning of vehicles within a controlled site environment and depot to depot trunking work.

Responsibilities to include but are not limited to;
- Safely moving HGVs/trailers around the yard or site.
- Positioning trailers for loading/unloading.
- Carrying out vehicle checks (pre-use and defect reporting).
- Coordinating with warehouse and transport teams to ensure smooth trailer flow.
- Following site safety procedures and traffic management rules.
- Depot to depot trunking

Our Perfect Worker
As an experienced HGV1 Shunter, you will ideally have -
- 2 years C+E experience
- Shunting experience desired
- Happy with trunking duties
- No more than 6 points
- Digi card and DCPC
