HGV Class 1 Tanker Driver

Salary: £17.70 per hour + Overtime Opportunities
Contract: Full Time, Permanent (following successful completion of probation)
Hours: 40 hours per week, with maximum available hours, regular overtime opportunities, some nights out required, and time and a half paid after 45 hours worked.

Today, we work with some of the world's leading chemical manufacturers, stocking more than 2,500 products in a variety of packaging sizes.

We supply products ranging from packaged chemicals and Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs) through to bulk road tanker quantities.

Due to continued growth, we are currently looking to recruit an experienced HGV Class 1 Tanker Driver to join our team based in West Bromwich.

This role involves delivering AdBlue nationwide, offering excellent earning potential through overtime and additional hours.

As an HGV Class 1 Tanker Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of products to our customers across the UK while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, safety and customer service.

You will:

  • Carry out bulk and packed product deliveries nationwide.
  • Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles in accordance with company procedures and legal requirements.
  • Adhere to company standards and policies at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and clients to provide practical and professional solutions.
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork and delivery documentation.
  • Follow all company and customer site Health & Safety policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach at all times.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A valid HGV Class 1 Licence.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience within the chemical industry.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a personable manner.

  • Proven ability to make independent decisions while also working effectively as part of a team.
  • Previous tanker driving experience would be advantageous.
