Class 1 Tramper Driver – BB4 – £16.00 per Hour

CareerMakers Recruitment are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Tramper Drivers for an ongoing position with our client based in BB4.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Class 1 driver looking for Monday to Friday work, early starts and regular overnight tramping, with a £25 night-out allowance.

  • Position: Class 1 (C+E) Tramper Driver
  • Pay: £16.00 per hour PAYE
  • Holiday pay: £17.93 per hour including holiday pay
  • Night-out allowance: £25 per night out
  • Monday to Friday
  • 05:00 starts
  • Ongoing work
  • 1–11 deliveries per day
  • Underlay deliveries
  • Regular overnight stays

The Role

You will be delivering underlay to customers and commercial sites across the designated delivery area.

The role involves handballing, so applicants must be comfortable with regular manual handling and loading/unloading.

Duties include safely operating a Class 1 vehicle, completing deliveries, loading and unloading goods, carrying out daily vehicle checks, completing delivery paperwork and ensuring loads are secure and handled safely.

Requirements

  • Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence
  • Ideally 2 years' experience on your driving licence
  • Previous Class 1 driving experience
  • Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • Comfortable with handballing and manual handling
  • Comfortable with regular overnight stays
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Professional and safety-conscious approach
