We're looking for a reliable and customer-focused HGV Class 2 (7.5T) Driver to join a busy transport operation based in New Malden. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity offering full-time hours and the chance to secure a permanent position.
Working Hours
- 5 days per week
- 45 hours per week
- 8:00am - 6:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Complete daily vehicle walk-around safety checks, including tyre inspections
- Load and secure goods safely, ensuring quantities match delivery paperwork
- Carry out scheduled deliveries safely and efficiently
- Follow delivery instructions and company procedures
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately and collect payments where required
- Keep customers and the Transport Manager informed of any delays or incidents
- Deliver excellent customer service at every stop
- Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle
- Assist with any other reasonable duties as requested by management
Requirements
- Full UK HGV Class 2 (Category C / 7.5T) driving licence held for a minimum of 3 years
- Valid Driver CPC (DQC) and Digital Tachograph Card
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Able to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt
