HGV Class 2 Driver – 18T Curtain Side – Self-Employed

ABM Express Ltd is looking for a reliable and professional Self-Employed HGV Class 2 Driver to drive an 18T curtain-side vehicle.

The role involves general haulage, collections and deliveries across the UK. Nights out will be required depending on the workload and delivery locations.

Pay:

• £180 per day
• Self-employed position
• The daily rate includes any required nights out
• Weekly payments

Main duties:

• Driving an 18T curtain-side vehicle safely and professionally
• Completing collections and deliveries across the UK
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks
• Securing loads correctly
• Completing delivery paperwork and obtaining PODs
• Keeping in contact with the transport office regarding deliveries, delays or issues
• Following Drivers’ Hours, Working Time and tachograph regulations
• Reporting vehicle defects promptly
• Taking reasonable care of the vehicle and equipment

Requirements:

• 5 Years of Full UK Category C / Class 2 licence
• Valid Driver CPC
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Good knowledge of UK roads
• Previous HGV driving experience preferred
• Curtain-side experience preferred
• Good understanding of load securing
• Reliable and punctual
• Professional attitude with customers
• Comfortable with nights out when required

As this is a self-employed position, the driver will be responsible for their own tax and National Insurance obligations.
