HGV Class 2 Driver (Pallets)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 (Cat C) Driver to join our customer, a well-established business based in Portsmouth.

This is a fantastic permanent opportunity for an experienced Class 2 driver who is looking for a stable, long-term position delivering palletised goods to customers across Portsmouth and the surrounding areas.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 2 (HGV/LGV, Category C) driving licence
• Valid CPC and Tacho Card
• Previous commercial driving experience
• Previous experience delivering palletised goods is essential
• Good knowledge of Portsmouth and surrounding areas would be advantageous
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Physically fit, as some manual handling will be involved
• Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach to work

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely load, transport and deliver palletised goods to customers
• Carry out deliveries to customers across Portsmouth and surrounding areas
• Ensure goods are delivered safely and securely
• Assist with loading and unloading where required
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects
• Provide excellent customer service at each delivery
• Ensure all relevant paperwork and delivery documentation is completed correctly
• Comply with all company, road safety and transport regulations

Benefits:

• £32,000 per annum salary (once permanent)
• Competitive hourly rate of £18.50ph (Umbrella) whilst through the agency
