HGV Class 2 Driver

The Best Connection is currently recruiting for a Class 2 Driver to join a busy and well-established client based in Newport. This is a great opportunity for an experienced driver looking for ongoing work with the potential to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period. You will be working as part of a professional team, carrying out deliveries in a safe and efficient manner while representing the company to customers.

• Driving a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle
• Delivering building materials to customers and sites
• Loading and unloading materials, ensuring safe handling at all times
• Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Ensuring all deliveries are completed accurately and on time
• Providing good customer service at delivery points
• Adhering to all driving and working time regulations

£14.50 per hour

07:30 starts

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid CPC and Digi Tacho card
• Previous experience delivering building materials (preferred but not essential)
• Good knowledge of driving regulations and road safety
• Reliable and professional attitude
• Good communication skills
