Class 2 Trunk Driver / Yard Operative - Exeter

Location: Exeter
Position: HGV Class 2 Driver (Category C)
Pay Rate: £17.07 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 12:00 noon - 8:00pm
Overtime: Plenty of overtime available
Pay: Weekly pay

We are currently recruiting an experienced Class 2 Driver / Yard Operative to join our client's team based in Exeter. This role offers a mixture of yard duties, customer service and trunking waste from Exeter to Avonmouth, with excellent overtime opportunities available.

Duties include:

• Driving a Class 2 vehicle on planned trunking routes from Exeter to Avonmouth
• Transporting waste safely between sites
• Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Working within the yard when not driving
• Serving customers and assisting with enquiries
• Loading and unloading duties as required
• Keeping the yard clean, safe and organised
• Completing paperwork and following site procedures
• Adhering to all health & safety and environmental regulations

Requirements:

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous Class 2 driving experience required
• Experience in waste, recycling or yard environments desirable
• Good customer service skills
• Comfortable working outdoors and carrying out manual handling
• Reliable, punctual and safety-focused
