Pay Rate: £22.00 - £30.00 per hour (DOE)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:30pm
Our client, a well-established commercial vehicle maintenance provider in the Dudley area, is currently seeking an experienced HGV Diagnostics Technician to join their busy workshop team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician with strong diagnostic and fault-finding experience to work on a modern fleet of heavy goods vehicles in a professional and well-equipped environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out advanced diagnostics and fault-finding on HGVs and commercial vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults.
- Use manufacturer diagnostic equipment and software to identify issues quickly and accurately.
- Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs in line with manufacturer and DVSA standards.
- Conduct inspections and roadworthiness checks.
- Complete repair documentation and workshop records accurately.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Proven experience working as an HGV Technician or Diagnostics Technician.
- Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle electrical and electronic systems.
- Experience using diagnostic tools and interpreting technical data.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Competitive hourly rate of £22.00 - £30.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- Monday to Friday working pattern – no regular weekends.
