The Role

We are recruiting for an experienced HGV Tanker Driver / Drainage Engineer to join a well-established and growing specialist water pump services business based in Aylesford.

This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading providers of water pump solutions, drainage services, and wastewater management systems, supporting a wide range of commercial, industrial, and blue-chip clients.

The successful candidate will carry out a range of specialist drainage services including the emptying, cleaning, maintenance, and servicing of customer assets, whilst operating high-pressure vacuum suction equipment and ensuring the highest standards of health & safety and customer service.

This role would suit an experienced Drainage Engineer, Vacuum Tanker Operator, HGV Tanker Driver, or Wastewater Operative looking for strong earning potential, regular overtime, and long-term career development.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out the emptying, cleaning, and maintenance of customer drainage and wastewater assets
• Operate high-pressure vacuum suction equipment safely and efficiently
• Deliver drainage, waste, and tanker services across commercial and industrial sites
• Accurately complete job sheets, reports, and documentation using internal systems and client apps
• Participate in an on-call rota to support emergency response services
• Maintain vehicles and equipment to operational and safety standards
• Work flexibly across early starts, evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight stays where required

Key Requirements

• Minimum HGV Class 2 licence (HGV Class 1 preferred but not essential)
• Previous experience operating vacuum tankers
• Good understanding of drainage and sewerage operations
• Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements relating to drainage and waste operations
• Experience within the drainage, utilities, water, environmental, or wastewater sectors
• Willingness to work unsociable hours and participate in an on-call rota
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Must live within 45 minutes of the Aylesford depot
