Found Recruitment is recruiting an experienced HGV Driver for an established food distribution business in the Cranbrook area.

With 3am starts and approximately 50 hours a week, this role would suit someone who enjoys an early start, takes pride in their driving and is confident manoeuvring at sites with restricted access.

You’ll carry out deliveries and collections along planned routes, working closely with the transport team to keep customers supplied safely and on time. Some routes include rural locations, so careful positioning, reversing and judgement are important.

Your responsibilities will include

• Completing vehicle checks and reporting defects promptly.

• Loading, unloading and securing goods safely.

• Following planned routes and communicating delays or changes.

• Keeping accurate delivery paperwork and tachograph records.

• Following site safety and hygiene procedures.

You’ll need at least one year’s HGV driving experience, an appropriate HGV licence and confidence manoeuvring in tighter spaces. Reliability, clear communication and a careful approach to your vehicle and load are essential. You must also be able to reach the depot consistently for a 3am start.

The package includes

• £16.22 per hour basic pay, plus a £5 daily bonus.

• Approximately 50 hours over five days, working either Friday to Tuesday or Thursday to Monday.

• 3am starts, with finishing times dependent on the route.

• Additional overtime and night-out payments where applicable.

• 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, a pension scheme and secure on-site parking.

Estimated annual earnings are based on 50 paid hours and five bonus-eligible days each week over 52 weeks. Overtime and night-out payments are additional. Some nights away or additional cover may be required.
