HGV Driver

HGV1 / LGV1 / Class1 / Class One / Category C+E Driver 

Our prestigious client based in Hams Hall, Birmingham are urgently seeking a HGV1 / LGV1 / Class1 / Class One / Category C+E Driver to driver their new fleet of vehicles

As a HGV1 / LGV1 / Class1 / Class One / Category C+E Driver your duties will include:

• Start times vary between 0500 to 0600 Monday to Friday
• Driving either brand new or nearly new curtain sided DAF vehicles
• Deliveries of fully assembled 1st fix staircases, 2nd fix ancillary products, rails bannisters etc, doors & linings
• Delivering to new build sites, loads are not handball, either FLT or telehandlers will be on site to offload
• Multidrop experience is essential as you can be delivering between 5-8 deliveries per day
• These runs can involve up to 3 x nights out per week however nights out are optional as we have day runs available too
• All night out vehicels are fitted with microwaves, fridges, leaver seats and aircon units - There is also the option of SNAP parking so no expenses are usually needed
• Average 50-55 hours worked per week

The ideal HGV1 / LGV1 / Class1 / Class One / Category C+E Driver will have the following:

• Held your HGV1 / LGV1 / Class1 / Class One / Category C+E licence for a minimum of 2 years
• No major driving convictions
• Have an indate driver CPC and digital tachograph card

The successful HGV1 / LGV1 / Class1 / Class One / Category C+E Driver can expect the following:

• A highly desirable PAYE assignment rate of £24.41 per hour (including holiday pay) plus an untaxed night out allowance of £25.00 per night
• Weekly pay
• Local onsite branch staff support
• We also have the option of you accruing holiday pay if required
• Potential option of a permanent position after 12 weeks worked subject to terms
