HGV Driver

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Grays area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers to join the team.
 

Shifts: 

• Run across Monday to Sunday (weekends included) 

Hours: 

• 01:00am starts
• 13:00pm -15:00pm starts

Pay Rate:

Class 2

• Afters - £15.86 per hour rising to £16.61 per hour after 12 weeks PAYE
• Nights- £17.10 per hour rising to £17.80 per hour after 12 weeks PAYE

Class 1

• Afters - £17.22 per hour rising to £17.92 per hour after 12 weeks PAYE
• Nights - £19.12 per hour rising to £19.87 per hour after 12 weeks PAYE

Location: Grays RM20
 

Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate
 

The role:
 

· Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.
 

· Handling runs, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
 

· Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
 

· Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
 

Requirements:
 

· Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
 

· Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
 

· No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
 

· Full understanding of WTD legislation.
 

· Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
 

· Excellent communication skills.
 

· A safety-first mindset.
