Alecto Recruitment is working with a well-established and reputable supplier of suction excavators. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add an experienced HGV Technician to their workshop team.

Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: 7:30am - 5:00pm
- Saturday: 7:30am - 1:00pm
The Role
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGV and LGV vehicles.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults.
- Complete pre-MOT inspections and vehicle preparation.
- Ensure all repairs are completed to a high standard and within required timescales.
- Complete all service records, inspection sheets and workshop documentation accurately.
- Maintain compliance with all Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Fitter or LGV Technician.
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance, Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualification.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Experience carrying out mechanical and electrical repairs.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage workloads.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Desirable
- Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence.
- Experience within commercial vehicle workshops or fleet maintenance environments.
