Pertemps Stoke are working with a client to find a skilled and experienced HGV Mechanic who thrives in a busy environment, and can think independently on tasks and priorities.
The HGV Mechanic vacancy is Full time on site, ST4 in Stoke-on-Trent, Monday to Friday 0800 – 17.30The Role
Key Responsibilities
  • Running the diagnostics of faults within HGV’s and analysing where possible
  • Preventative and routing maintenance across all vehicles
  • MOT preparation, presentation, and servicing
  • General repairs and fixing any faults
  • You will work on a variety of makes and models, predominantly 18 tonnes and over
  • A can-do attitude is a must, with the ability to work well as part of a team, and happy to support colleagues where required
📚 Full on the job training for the role of HGV Mechanic will be provided. PPE will be provided.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Willing to learn and adapt well under pressure
  • Positive and can-do attitude willing to go above and beyond
  • HGV licence advantageous

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to create and maintain working relationships with colleagues and customers
