HGV Technician – Exeter Area 🚛

💰 Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 DOE + Shift Allowance + Overtime

We're recruiting for skilled HGV Technicians to join a busy, expanding commercial vehicle workshop. With a choice of shift patterns available, you can select the one that best suits your lifestyle while benefiting from long-term job security and ongoing development.

• £45,000 – £55,000 depending on experience

🔧 Choose Your Shift

Early Shift

• Monday to Friday
• 6:00am – 3:30pm

Evening Shift

• Monday to Friday
• 1:00pm – 10:30pm
• 45-hour week

Rotating Split Shift

• Week 1: 6:00am – 3:30pm
• Week 2: 1:00pm – 10:30pm
• Monday to Friday

🔧 The Role

• Service, maintain and repair HGVs and commercial vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
• Carry out MOT preparation and presentation
• Road test vehicles where required
• Attend roadside breakdowns when necessary
• Complete all job cards and workshop paperwork accurately

🔧 About You

• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician
• Full UK driving licence
• HGV licence and roadside experience desirable but not essential
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Reliable with a positive, team-focused attitude
