The OpportunityWe are recruiting an experienced HGV Mechanic to join a well-established and growing business based in Grays, Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HGV Mechanic looking for long-term stability, competitive pay, and an outstanding work-life balance with no weekend work.
The RoleAs an HGV Mechanic, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a fleet of heavy goods vehicles, ensuring they remain safe, roadworthy, and fully compliant with all legal and DVSA requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults.
- Complete vehicle inspections in line with DVSA standards.
- Ensure all documentation and job records are completed accurately.
- Manage your daily workload independently and efficiently.
- Time-served HGV Mechanic or Level 3 qualification in HGV Maintenance and Repair.
- Strong diagnostic, fault-finding, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Full, clean driving licence (HGV licence advantageous but not essential).
- £21 per hour.
- Monday to Friday day shifts only.
- No weekend work.
- Company van provided for work use.
