Salary: £20.00 per hour + enhanced overtime paid at time and a half (£30.00/hr)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Full-Time, Permanent)
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (Rotation of early and late shifts)
I am working on behalf of one of the UK’s largest and most successful transport operators, we are recruiting a PSV Technician / HGV Technician to join a forward-thinking engineering team at an industry-leading depot in Halifax.

Key Responsibilities of the PSV Technician / HGV Technician
- Troubleshoot complex faults, carrying out vehicle repairs, major servicing, and parts replacement.
- Diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used.
- Perform routine safety examinations using modern handheld data-capture devices.
- Attend on-road vehicle breakdowns/recoveries and carry out vehicle road testing where necessary to verify defects.
What You’ll Need as PSV Technician / HGV Technician
- Minimum NVQ / SVQ Level 3 (or City & Guilds equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle
- Maintenance and Repair (Light vehicle qualified or ex-Forces engineering candidates looking to transition are also welcome).
- A flexible approach to work with the ability to multi-skill across a modern fleet.
- Full UK driving licence. A PCV (Category D) licence is highly desirable (if you do not have one, the company will fully fund and support you to pass your test).
