HGV Technician in Farnborough

Salary £20–£22 per hour | Up to £51,480 per annum
Weekly Hours: 40 or 45 hours per week
We’re looking for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Truck Mechanic to join a busy workshop in Farnborough, maintaining a modern fleet of predominantly DAF vehicles.
This is a hands-on role offering flexible working hours, a strong hourly rate and the opportunity to work across a varied HGV fleet.
The role of the HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Truck Mechanic
- Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance
- Complete PMI inspections and vehicle safety checks
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
- Carry out MOT preparation and inspections
- Maintain and repair a fleet made up of approximately 80% DAF and 20% Mercedes
- Ensure vehicles are maintained to a high standard and kept roadworthy
What we're looking for from the HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Truck Mechanic
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician
- Strong knowledge of HGV servicing, maintenance and repairs
- Experience carrying out PMI inspections
- Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Class 1 or Class 2 licence would be advantageous
- A reliable, practical approach and the ability to work independently
