An excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Truck Mechanic
to join a busy commercial vehicle operation where you'll be responsible for keeping a fleet of HGVs maintained, safe and on the road.
This is a genuinely hands-on role for a technician who enjoys variety and wants a solid Monday-to-Friday position with plenty of overtime opportunities.
What you’ll be doing as HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Truck Mechanic
As an HGV Technician, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out routine servicing and preventative maintenance on HGVs.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
- Completing inspections, repairs and component replacements.
- Working on engines, transmissions, braking systems and running gear.
- Carrying out fault diagnosis using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
- Ensuring vehicles are maintained to a high standard and are safe and roadworthy.
- Completing maintenance paperwork and job records accurately.
What you’ll need as HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Truck Mechanic
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
- Experience working on HGVs or other heavy commercial vehicles.
- A recognised Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
- A good understanding of vehicle safety and maintenance standards.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A full UK driving licence.
