HGV Technician

Shift: 4 on 4 off Days – 6am to 6pm
Salary: £22.00 per hour + Overtime
As an HGV Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a mixed fleet of HGVs and trailers.
- Completing routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Preparing vehicles for MOT and presenting them for test.
- Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults.
- Accurately completing job cards, service sheets and associated paperwork using online systems.
- Working safely at all times in accordance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
The successful HGV Technician will have:
- Previous experience working as an HGV Technician/HGV Mechanic.
- Industry-recognised qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Strong knowledge of HGVs and trailers with excellent fault-finding skills.
- A Class 1 HGV licence would be advantageous, but is not essential.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Overtime paid at your hourly rate + £5.00 per hour
- 20 days annual leave
