2 weeks of earlies followed by 1 week of lates
Week 1 & 2 (Earlies): Monday – Friday, 06:00 – 14:30
Week 3 (Back Shift): Monday – Friday, 14:00 – 00:00
Plus Saturday mornings on the 1st week of the early rotation – 06:00 – 14:00
Full time, permanent
Earning Potential – Salary:
£18.00 – £21.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate
OTE: £49,500 – £52,500
Overview
HGV Technician wanted for the largest independent commercial vehicle dealer group in the UK. Based in Derby, this role offers a consistent shift pattern of 2 weeks earlies then 1 week back shift. Manufacturer training and genuine progression on offer, including progression to Master Technician. If you're Level 3 qualified and ready for a stable role with a major dealer group, this is the one.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnostics and repairs on HGVs
- Safety inspections
- Routine maintenance
- Working efficiently within a busy workshop team
- Completing job cards and paperwork accurately
- Time-served HGV Technician
- Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance / City & Guilds (essential)
- Experience working on HGVs
- Mechanical ability with a good attitude
- 2 weeks earlies, 1 week back shift
- 31 days holiday per year (including bank holidays) – rising to 33 after 5 years' service
