HGV Technician in Harlow

Location: Harlow, Essex
Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum, depending on experience
Overtime Available
The Role:
As an HGV Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
- Using diagnostic equipment including TEXA and Jaltest
- Investigating and rectifying vehicle defects
- Preparing vehicles for MOTs and completing any required rectification work
- Carrying out repairs to a high standard and in line with manufacturer and industry requirements
- Completing service sheets and job documentation accurately
- Working safely and maintaining a clean and professional workshop
- Working independently as well as part of a wider team
We’re looking for an experienced HGV Technician who has:
- Good knowledge of HGVs and commercial vehicles
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Experience carrying out servicing, inspections and repairs
- The ability to diagnose faults logically and efficiently
- A professional attitude and pride in their workmanship
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A self-motivated and reliable approach
- Good attention to detail when completing vehicle and service documentation
Relevant qualifications such as NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent are desirable.
