HGV Technician

We’re looking for an HGV Technician to join a well-established commercial business in Stretford, Manchester.

This is a role suited to someone with previous experience working with HGVs, as you will be carrying out servicing, maintenance, repairs and warranty work on vehicles.

What will you be doing as an HGV Technician?

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance, repairs and warranty work on HGVs and large commercial vehicles
• Interpreting instructions from job cards and repair orders
• Completing work in line with repair instructions and manufacturer standards
• Accurately recording work completed and tests carried out
• Identifying and reporting additional work or vehicle faults
• Keeping up to date with technical information and training

What will you need?

• NVQ Level 2 in HGV Service & Maintenance or equivalent
• Previous experience working with HGVs
• Previous experience in a workshop environment
• Strong understanding of large commercial vehicle systems
• Ability to follow job cards, repair instructions and technical guidance
