Hgv Technician

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy and well-established workshop in Sheffield. This is a permanent position offering excellent earning potential, modern facilities, and long-term job security.

You’ll be working within a professional team maintaining a mixed fleet of commercial vehicles, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintenance and repair of HGVs and commercial vehicles
• Diagnosing faults using diagnostic equipment
• Carrying out safety inspections and MOT preparation
• Completing all work to DVSA and manufacturer standards
• Minimising vehicle downtime through efficient working

Shift Patterns Available 

• Rotating Early/Late Shift:
  Week 1: 06:00 – 14:30
  Week 2: 14:00 – 22:30

  • 1 in 4 Saturdays

• 4 on 4 off Days:
  06:00 – 18:30 

• Night Shift (Alternate Weeks):
  18:00 – 06:30 (Mon–Thurs / Tues–Fri rotation) 

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic
• Level 3 NVQ / City & Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Class 1 or 2 licence (desirable, not essential)
