- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults across HGVs, trailers, and plant equipment
- Conduct 6-weekly inspections and servicing of vehicles and trailers
- Perform preventative maintenance and MOT preparation as a HGV Technician
- Service and repair telehandlers, loading shovels, diggers, and other plant machinery
- Attend breakdowns, including roadside and customer site diagnostics as part of an on-call rota
- Replace components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, AdBlue systems, ABS, and electrical systems
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and time spent
- Communicate effectively regarding repairs, parts requirements, and estimated completion times
- Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
- Minimum of 4 years' practical experience as an HGV and/or Plant Mechanic
- Experience working with multiple vehicle brands
- IRTEC certification would be advantageous
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a reliable work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Desirable: 6+ years' experience, welding and fabrication skills, knowledge of hydraulic or LOLE R regulations, experience with hooklift or RORO equipment
