HGV Tractor driver in Isles of Scilly, South West

Long term temp contract: (2 years)
Location: Scilly Isles, Cornwall 
Start Date: 10/11/2026
Working Hours: 7:30am - 6pm (10 hours paid)
Shift Pattern: 11 days on, 3 days off - Flights and accommodation provided.

Our client is a rapidly growing south west based principle contractor. Their presence has been strong in this area for the last 10 years and they widen their horizons with this bold new project. Delivering several new homes on the Isles of Scilly, the sunny south coast islands below Penzance, Cornwall. 

We are recruiting an experienced tractor driver with a HGV class one ticket. Experience is essential. You will be responsible for all operations of a JCB Fastrac Tractor. You will be hauling plant, cabins, materials and waste.
Shift patterns will be 11 days on 3 days off.
Travel and accommodation costs will be covered, flights via helicopter will be arranged for you, and you will have access to a portal to check on this.
The correct tickets are essential for this role.

 
Pay & Benefits

• £24ph
• 10 hour working days.
•  x 1.25 rate Saturday
•  x 1.5 rate Sundays and Bank holidays
• Ongoing work available, 2 year contract.
• Free accommodation, travel, food allowance. 

The Role

• Operate Tractor (JCB Fastrac)
• Hauling materials.
• Hauling plant.
• Hauling cabins. 
• Towing a trailer.
• Helping out the site team with odd jobs when needed.
• Follow site health and safety.
• Working within a construction team.

Requirements

• CPCS or NPORS - Agricultural tractor.
• Class 1 - HGV licence (tractor units with trailers)
• NVQ or City & Guilds (Preferred but not essential)
• Driving licence.
• Previous experience is essential for this role.
