Apex is seeking a skilled D2 High Reach Forklift Driver in Renfrew Area. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating high-reach forklifts to efficiently manage materials handling, shipping, and receiving operations. This role requires a safety-conscious individual with strong mechanical aptitude and experience in warehouse environments. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where precision and organisation are essential.

Duties

  • Operate D2 high reach forklifts to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse
  • Manage materials handling tasks accurately, ensuring correct placement and storage of stock
  • Assist with shipping and receiving processes, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to maintain operational safety and efficiency
  • Utilise Warehouse Management System (WMS) software for inventory tracking and documentation
  • Collaborate with team members to organise stock levels and optimise warehouse space utilisation
  • Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting when equipment malfunctions occur
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Handle heavy lifting as required, following proper manual handling procedures

Skills

  • Proven experience operating forklift trucks, particularly high reach models (D2 or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures
  • Mechanical knowledge for equipment repair and troubleshooting minor faults
  • Experience with materials handling, load & unload operations, and shipping & receiving processes
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Basic mathematical skills for inventory counts and measurements
  • Physical fitness to perform heavy lifting safely over extended periods
  • Prior warehouse experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with warehouse workflows and safety protocols

Hours of work:

Mon – Thu 14.00 – 22.00, Fri 12.00 – 20.00
