Job title: High Voltage Service Technician
Salary: Competitive + uplift for site visits
Location: Dover (60%) + Site Based (40%)
Hours: Monday to Friday
Role summary:
You will play a key part in maintaining, servicing and repairing high-voltage test vans and associated instruments, ensuring they operate safely, reliably and to the highest standards.
You will support planned and reactive maintenance activities, contributing to departmental objectives while delivering service to customers across the UK and Ireland.

Key responsibilities would be:
- Travel to customer sites throughout the UK and Ireland to carry out servicing, repairs, inspections and testing on high and low voltage equipment.
- Maintain, service and repair high-voltage test vans and associated cable fault location systems.
- Produce service, inspection and testing reports, including Health & Safety documentation and risk assessments.
- Create, update and maintain service schedules, inspection records, calibration certificates, test reports and repair documentation, supporting QHSE requirements.
- Carry out calibration support, fault diagnosis, preventative maintenance and repairs on high-voltage instruments, ensuring work is completed to agreed timescales.
- Respond to customer enquiries, providing technical support, service updates and a high standard of customer care.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company procedures, industry standards and Health & Safety legislation.
Experience and skills required:
- Qualification in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline.
- Experience servicing, maintaining or repairing high-voltage electrical equipment, cable fault location systems or similar electrical instrumentation.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements relating to high-voltage environments.
- Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- A practical, methodical approach with excellent attention to detail.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and the ability to complete electronic service reports.
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK and Ireland, including regular overnight stays.
