Pay Range: £115 – £130 per day (dependent on experience)

ANZUK Education is working with a high-performing and inclusive primary school in Lewisham seeking two experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to join their team from September. The school is recruiting for two separate positions: one supporting within Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and one supporting across Years 4 and 5.
These full-time, long-term positions offer an excellent opportunity to work within a forward-thinking school that places a strong emphasis on academic achievement, character development and creating a love of learning for every child. The successful candidates will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning, delivering interventions and covering classes when required.

This HLTA role would suit experienced support staff who are confident leading learning, covering classes and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential within a nurturing and ambitious school environment.
Key Responsibilities of HLTA:
Deliver planned lessons and provide whole-class cover in the absence of the class teacher.
Support teaching and learning across either EYFS or Years 4 and 5.
Deliver targeted interventions to support pupil progress and attainment.
Work closely with class teachers to plan, prepare and adapt learning activities.
Promote high standards of behaviour, engagement and achievement.
Support pupils' social, emotional and personal development.
Contribute to the wider life of the school and work collaboratively with colleagues.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold HLTA status or an equivalent qualification.
Have recent experience working within a primary school setting.
For the EYFS position, have strong Early Years experience and a sound understanding of child development.
For the Years 4 and 5 position, have experience supporting learning within Key Stage 2.
Be confident delivering lessons and leading whole-class learning.
Demonstrate excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
Maintain high expectations for pupil progress and achievement.
Show a clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
