Luma Education Recruitment is recruiting an enthusiastic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming school on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HLTA, Teaching Assistant, or Learning Support Assistantlooking to take the next step in their career within a supportive education setting.

You'll work closely with teachers to deliver high-quality learning, lead interventions, and provide support for pupils with a range of additional needs, including Special Educational Needs (SEN), SEMH, Autism (ASD), ADHD, and other learning differences.

• Deliver planned lessons and learning activities in the absence of the class teacher.
• Lead small group and one-to-one interventions to improve pupil progress.
• Support pupils with SEN, SEMH, ASD, ADHD and additional learning needs.
• Help create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Implement behaviour management strategies, including PRICE or TeamTeach approaches where appropriate.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and wider school staff to support student outcomes.

To be successful in this HLTA role, you'll ideally have:

• HLTA qualification or be working towards Level 4 Teaching Assistant status.
• Previous experience working as an HLTA, Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or in a similar education role.
• Experience supporting children with SEN, SEMH, ASD, ADHD or behavioural needs.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• A patient, adaptable and proactive approach.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
