Premier Education is seeking an experienced and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support a vibrant and well-established primary school from September 2026. This is a full-time, ongoing role within a large primary school that prides itself on its inclusive ethos, strong leadership and commitment to pupil success. The role would be predominantly in EYFS and KS1.
Conveniently located with excellent transport links from Manchester city centre, Stockport, Salford, Tameside and surrounding Greater Manchester areas, this opportunity is ideal for education professionals seeking a rewarding long-term role within a supportive school community.
The role
- Provide high-quality classroom support across the primary age range.
- Deliver planned lessons and interventions in the absence of the class teacher.
- Lead small group and whole-class learning activities when required.
- Support pupils' academic progress, wellbeing and engagement.
- Work closely with teachers, support staff and senior leaders to ensure positive outcomes for all learners.
- Promote positive behaviour and contribute to an inclusive learning environment.

The ideal candidate
To be considered for this role, applicants should:
- Hold a HLTA qualification and have equivalent experience within a primary school setting.
- Have recent experience supporting teaching and learning in a primary school.
- Be confident delivering lessons and leading groups independently.
- Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be proactive, adaptable and committed to supporting children's learning and development.
