Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for a rewarding long-term opportunity in a welcoming and inclusive primary school?

A highly regarded primary school in Westminster (W9) is seeking a confident and enthusiastic HLTA to join its team from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 while becoming part of a collaborative school community where staff are valued and professional development is encouraged.

The Role

This varied role includes:

• Delivering targeted English and Maths interventions, primarily in Year 3, to accelerate pupil progress.
• Leading phonics intervention groups in Reception and Year 1.
• Providing class cover across Reception to Year 4 when required.
• Supporting teachers, promoting positive behaviour and helping pupils reach their full potential.
• Working closely with staff to ensure high-quality learning and support across the school.

You will:

• Hold HLTA status or have significant experience working at HLTA level.
• Have previous experience in UK primary schools (essential).
• Have strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum, English, Maths and Systematic Synthetic Phonics.
• Be confident leading whole classes and delivering effective interventions.
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management, communication and organisational skills.
• Be proactive, adaptable and passionate about supporting childrens learning.
