Are you ready to take on more responsibility in the classroom while continuing to make a direct difference to pupils?

Teach Now is recruiting a skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a primary school in Enfield. The school is looking for someone who can confidently support teaching and learning across KS1 and KS2, lead targeted interventions and step into whole-class delivery when required.

This would suit an experienced teaching assistant or HLTA who is comfortable working independently while remaining an integral part of the wider teaching team.

The Role

As an HLTA, you will:

  • Deliver planned lessons and activities during teacher absence or PPA cover.
  • Run focused interventions for individuals and small groups.
  • Support pupils who require additional academic or SEN assistance.
  • Reinforce positive behaviour and classroom expectations.
  • Assist with assessing pupil progress and providing feedback to teachers.
  • Adapt quickly between classes, year groups and learning needs.
Requirements
  • HLTA qualification/status or substantial relevant primary-school experience.
  • Previous experience supporting KS1 and/or KS2 pupils.
  • Ability to lead a classroom confidently and effectively.
  • Strong literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
  • A positive and flexible approach to working with children.
  • Enhanced DBS and suitable safeguarding checks.
  • Right to work in the UK.
Pay is dependent on qualifications and experience.
