£120-£135 per day

Long Term Futures is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a highly inclusive primary school in North Kensington from September.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident HLTA or senior Teaching Assistant looking for a varied role that combines specialist SEN support with the opportunity to lead learning across the school. The successful candidate will primarily work with pupils with non-verbal Autism and complex learning needs, while providing PPA cover one day each week, delivering pre-planned lessons with confidence and enthusiasm.
The school is looking for someone who is calm, adaptable and passionate about supporting pupils with complex needs while taking on additional classroom responsibilities.

About the Role
Working closely with the SENCo and teaching team, you will:
* Provide high-quality support for pupils with non-verbal ASD and complex learning needs
* Adapt learning activities to meet individual EHCP outcomes and communication needs
* Use visual supports, structured routines and sensory strategies to maximise engagement
* Promote pupils' independence, communication and emotional regulation
* Deliver PPA cover across the primary phase using teacher planning and established routines
* Lead whole-class learning with confidence, maintaining high expectations for behaviour and engagement
* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and support staff to ensure pupils receive consistent support
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys both specialist SEN practice and leading learning within the classroom.

Ideal Candidate Profile
* HLTA qualification is desirable, although highly experienced Teaching Assistants with classroom leadership experience are encouraged to apply
* Experience supporting pupils with non-verbal Autism and complex SEN is essential
* Confident leading whole-class sessions and delivering planned lessons independently
* Strong understanding of inclusive practice, EHCPs and differentiated learning
* Excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills
* Committed to a long-term role from September
